miley cyrus Biography
The American pop singer and actress Miley Ray Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992. She became famous for her Hannah Montana/Miley Steward role on Disney's sitcom “Hannah Montana. Miley recorded music that appeared on the 2006 “Hannah Montana” as well as 2007 “Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus” soundtracks. The successful Hannah Montana franchise helped Cyrus to become a teen idol.
Cyrus signed with Hollywood Records in 2007 and started her solo career. That year she toured “Best of Both Worlds,” performing as both the Hannah Montana character and as her herself. Eventually the tour was made into a concert film called “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.” Miley Cyrus released “Breakout,” her debut solo album, in July 2008 to commercial success.
Miley Cyrus made her film debut in 2008. She provided the “Penny” voice in the animated movie Bolt. She was nominated for Best Original Song by the Golden Globe Awards for her “I Thought I Lost You” performance, which was the theme song for Bolt. She also played Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart in the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. The movie's soundtrack introduced Cyrus to new audiences in the adult contemporary and country markets.
In 2009, Cyrus released “The Time of Our Lives” and started cultivating an adult image. The set had a sound that was more mainstream pop. She also appeared in the 2010 coming of age drama movie “The Last Song.” In 2010, Miley Cyrus released the album “Can't Be Tamed,” which featured a dance-pop new sound.
