luke bryan Biography

The American country singer Luke Bryan was born in Leesburgh, Georgia on July 17, 1976. In 2001 he relocated to Nashville. Within two months he had signed a songwriter deal. Bryan started his career in music writing songs for Billy Currington and Travis Tritt during the mid-2000s. One of his first songs was "My Honky Tonk History," the title track of the 2004 Travis Tritt album. He also co-wrote Good Directions" for Billy Currington. The single hit the No. 1 spot on the chart Hot Country Songs in 2007.

In 2007 Bryan signed with the Nashville Capitol Records and released "I'll Stay Me," his debut album. The set spawned the singles "Country Man," "We Rode in Trucks" and "All My Friends Say." Bryan co-wrote or wrote all except one of the album's songs. "Country Man" reached No. 10 and "We Rode in Trucks" made it to No. 33.

"Doin' My Thing," his second album, was released in 2009 and included the single "Do I," (co-written with Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley). "Someone Else Calling You Baby" as well as "Rain Is a Good Thing" also appeared on the album and were both No. 1 singles. In 2011 Bryan released his third album "Tailgates & Tanlines." The set debuted in the No. 2 spot on Billboard's 200 chart and No. 1 on Top Country Albums. The album included the song "Country Girl" as well as his third No. 1 hit single "I Don't Want This Night to End." All of Bryan's singles were co-written by him except for "Drunk on You." He was also co-producer with Jeff Stevens all all three of his albums.
