The American musician, singer-songwriter and actress Demi Lovato was born in Dallas, Texas on August 20, 1992. She appeared in Barney & Friends and starred in both Camp Rock movies. She also starred in Sonny with a Chance as Sonny Monroe as well as the 2009 film Princess Protection Program.
In June 2008, the Camp Rock soundtrack was released. Lovato appeared in four of the soundtrack’s songs. From July to September 2008 Lovato was a supporting acts for the Burnin’ Up Tour of the Jonas Brothers. In September 2008 Lovato released Don’t Forget, her debut album. It debuted on Billboard’s 200 chart in the No. 2 spot. During its first week out the set sold 89,000 copies. Since then the album has sold more than 500,000 U.S. copies and is RIAA gold certified.
In July 2009, Demi Lovato released Here We Go Again, her second album. The set debut on Billboard’s 200 chart in the No. 1 spot and during its first week out sold 108,000 copies. In 2010, Lovato was featured in two soundtrack albums. In August 2010 Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Soundtrack was released and in late 2010 Sonny With a Chance Soundtrack.
