The American country music songwriter, singer and guitarist Brad Paisley was born in Glen Dale, West Virginia on October 28, 1972. His style of music is a cross between Southern rock and traditional country, with his songs being laced frequently with pop culture references and humor.

Starting with “Who Needs Pictures,” which was released in 1999, Paisley has recorded a total of seven studio albums along with one Christmas compilation with the record label Arista Nashville. Paisley won CMA’s Horizon Award in 2000 and also was named best new male vocalist by the Academy of Country Music. In 2001, Paisley was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best New Artist. In 2001 he also became a Grand Ole Opry inductee at the age of 28 to become the youngest member to ever join. Paisley won the 2008 ACM and CMA Male Vocalist of the year award.

All of Paisley’s albums have all been certified by RIAA as gold or higher. He has also had 25 singles charted on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. Fifteen of his singles have made it to No. 1 and Paisley has a record 10 singles in a row that that reached No. 1 on the chart. In November 2010 Brad Paisley was named as CMA’s Entertainer of the Year at their 44th annual awards show.
