Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Lady Gaga play in concert?
Lady Gaga is a pop queen and fashion master, and she reflects this brilliantly in both her latest setlist and the stage environment and themes of the show.
Gaga is currently touring in support of her third grand release, Artpop. The record takes a lot of her artistic and theatrical elements to a whole new level by intrinsically tying the music into her stage sound. If Born This Way was an exploration of rock excess, Artpop is a deep and collective dive into fashion in music.
The setlist itself leans heavily into Artpop, which is no surprise. Each of her tours has been centered around a respective album in both tone and style. The show opens with a very odd choice, Artpop’s late album non-single “Mary January Holland.” Other Artpop cuts include “MANiCure,” “Aura,” and “Venus.” These are all contained in just the first five songs of Act 1 and the “Artpop” title track closes out Gaga’s first portion of the show.
The show is divided into five Acts in total. Each smaller set is bookended by some stage changes, a wardrobe change, and a slightly different tone. Act 3 consists of more ballads and older Gaga material. Both “The Edge of Glory” and “Born This Way” appear in the middle of the set, and pseudo-ballad “Do What u Want” from Artpop precedes these two.
The setlist is essentially identical from one show to the next, with slight changes made pertaining to time cuts or a guest star in a certain city.
The show universally closes with Artpop’s leading single “Applause.” It is an intriguing choice considering “Applause” did not chart nearly as well as her other groundbreaking pop singles, but it fits the tone of what the new album is all about. Fortunately for fans, the encore also consists of “Bad Romance,” the song that solidified Lady Gaga as a pop leader and not just a hot trend for the hour.

What should I expect at the show? Are there any crazy meat dresses or vomiting?
It is a fair question, because Lady gaga has certainly played around with some of the more wild ideas in contemporary pop. A recent South by Southwest performance had her being vomited on in an artistic sense of spectacle and accomplishment and grossness.
But Lady Gaga seems to scale things back just a bit for her Artpop tour. The focus is more on high-class art and the merging of fashion and style. In other words, she places a large emphasis on the song, with ballad and piano performances of “Dope” and “You and I.” A whole portion of the set is dedicated to her behind the piano and singing.
That is not to say Artpop Ball is void of grand theatrics and weirdness. Her Artpop centric tracks have the similar wild fervor that she displayed with such energy in previous tours.
How do I get access to presale tickets for Lady Gaga’s tour?
Finding presale tickets for previous Lady Gaga tours was a massive challenge, but it is a bit easier for the recent Artpop tour. Presales are not provided through her official Little Monsters fan club or official website, which may have more to do with logistics and corporate issues than with Gaga’s personal unwillingness.
Presales are available through American Express presales. You need two accounts for purchase: an American Express account to obtain the respective password and a Ticketmaster account for the actual ticket purchase.
If this sounds frustrating or not possible, you might try for the Citi Live Nation presale. The same rules apply; you need access to the Citi Cardmembers account as well as an account with LiveNations online ticketing system.
Who is Lady Gaga’s publicist and press contact?
Lady Gaga recently parted ways with Troy Carter, who was her manager for the last four years, and signed on with Bobby Campbell. Contacting him is not easy, but you may have luck reaching him through his official LinkedIn page. It may require a few obstacles, but Campbell does not have a public contact. Bobby is also available on Twitter.
Concert Reviews
“Over the course of her two-and-a-half hour Born This Way Ball stop at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday night, Lady Gaga straddled a faux horse, mounted a motorcycle, birthed herself through an inflatable, zipped vagina, hatched from an egg and dangled from a meat rack between massive slabs of beef. And somehow, the pop star also managed to change her costume 17 times.” – Emily Zemler of the Hollywood Reporter
“Like Madonna, her spiritual godmother, Lady Gaga, quite undeniably, delivers in a live setting – perhaps with a bit less smugness and a lot more emotion. But the idea is the same: the whole thing is more akin to a Cirque du Soleil show than a rock concert. We can now imagine a future where some performers don’t have to show up at their own shows.” – Bernard Perusse of the Montreal Gazette
“Drawing from her most recent album, ArkansasTPOP, she performed the song Swine with a friend on stage who drank from a paint bottle and puked the colored liquid all over Lady Gaga, first as the pop star played the drums and later as the pair pawed one another amorously atop a slowly-rotating mechanical-bull-like pig with a ball-gag. Then, still splattered in black and green paint, Lady Gaga sat down to a heartfelt, confessional rendering of Dope. Alone at her keyboard, the performer showed off the range and strength of her voice and her keyboard talents in ways often lost in large stadium shows.” – Rick Jervis of USA Today
