Pyromania, the next album from band, was released in 1983. “Photograph,” the lead single, helped Def Leppard become a household name.
In 1987, Def Leppard released Hysteria, their fourth album. It topped both the U.K. And U.S. album charts. The album has sold over 20 million worldwide copies and spawned seven hit songs, including “Rocket,” “Animal,” “Armageddon It,” “Hysteria,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Love Bites.”
In 1992, Adrenalize, their next album, made it to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s U.S. chat as well as the UK Album chart. The set contained several hit singles, including “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad” and “Let’s Get Rocked.” Retro Active was released in 1993 and contained their acoustic hit single “Two Steps Behind.” Vault, the band’s greatest hits album, was released in 1995.
Def Leppard has sold over 65 million worldwide albums and is one of the best-selling bands in the world. Hysteria and Pyromania have both been certified diamond by the RIAA.
