Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will CeeLo Green play in concert?
CeeLo Green has quite a complex setlist to select from. He has material from his days as the alter ego, Gnarls Barkley, as well as more hip hop oriented material from his work as one of the core members of Goodie Mob. But it his solo material, specifically material from CeeLo’s Magic Moment and 2010’s The Lady Killer, that dominates the setlist.
The latter in particular makes a big impression here. This includes his bad naughty summer jam, “Forget You” retitled from the more abrasive title. He also brings out “Bright Lights Bigger City” right up there in the front of his set and “Wildflower” a little later.
Some songs do not make the cut every night, such as “Satisfied” and “Cry Baby” from this same record. He also likes to play around with a few covers, a rotating wheel of about four. The most common is a rendition of the Pussycat Dolls “Don’t Cha” that appears the majority of the time. He adds a little R&B swagger to the song, turning it from a pure pop dance tune to a chilly and groovy soul number. He also brings out the infamous 1988 David Bowie smash hit, “Let’s Dance,” from the record of the same name. The recorded version of the song is close to eight minutes long, though Green’s version is a little slimmer. The new wave – punk group, Violent Femmes, is shown the utmost respect with a cover of their underrated gem, “Gone Daddy Gone.”

So does CeeLo Green play any material from his other projects?
CeeLo Green was a prolific artist in other projects prior to the smash success of “Forget You.” 2006’s St Elsewhere marked the debut of his alter ego, Gnarls Barkley, and his most famous tune, “Crazy.” This is the only Barkley song to make the cut.
CeeLo Green also contributed to Goodie Mob as a main member. He helped bring the group out of hibernation in 2013 with Age Against the Machine. He plays no songs from this album or any others by the collective, which is not surprising. Goodie Mob is a group effort, and because they are still active CeeLo Green wants to place emphasis on his own solo recording output.
How long is a CeeLo Green concert?
CeeLo Green usually performs for close to two hours, but this time around he only performs about 45 minutes.
Who is opening for CeeLo Green?
Actually, CeeLo Green is the opener for another important act in R&B and pop; one of the top best-selling artists of all time, the irreplaceable Lionel Richie.
How do I get access to presale tickets for CeeLo Green’s tour?
Presale tickets for Lionel Richie and CeeLo green are available through a number of outlets. Perhaps the most perfunctory is the official tour Facebook page. The page publicly announced the password required to gain early entrance. It was only announced recently, so there is still time to take advantage of the offer.
Presale Passwords Info is usually a solid source, but they are covering only a select few dates for this tour. Alternatively, you can find the entire tour covered through the official American Express platform. You will need an American Express card for purchase, but nearly every date is accounted for.
Lastly, LiveNation is offering a presale option and you need to be a CitiNational member. It is worth being one if you attend a lot of large concerts, for LiveNation has the best deals with the best seats specific to members.

Concert Reviews
“CeeLo was in excellent form tonight, giving each song his all. Many singers with unique voices get pigeonholed to one sound or another, but tonight he proved that regardless of whether he’s channeling Marvin Gaye’s smooth soul sound, crooning over an acoustic guitar or belting out a Violent Femmes cover, CeeLo can make it happen.” – KDHX
“CeeLo sang and rapped over samples being created by a DJ behind him but no live band was present Thursday night. At one point, CeeLo sang as the DJ made a transition from the Rolling Stones’ “Emotional Rescue” to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” Strangely the biggest ovation of the night went up as the DJ sampled Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” It seems even the voice of CeeLo Green was no match for alternative rock royalty on the eve of Lollapalooza. “Where’s my tequilla?” pondered Green.” – Jim Ryan of Chicago Now
“CeeLo Green finally hit the stage at 10:20 and did a set that was heavy on cover songs. He opened with Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family,” and also played songs from Rod Stewart, the Pussycat Dolls and Minnie Ripperton. The final two songs of the night were songs the crowd had waited for. “Crazy” was a song he made famous as Gnarls Barkley. It was followed by his hit “Forget You.” – Jerry Tucker of the Examiner
