The London Indie rock outfit xx must be blushing four shades of red at this point. They’re self-titled album has earned best of 2009 accolades from NME, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and the Guardian UK. It is quite a feat for a group’s debut album to bowl over the most prestigious music publications. The group is making the most out of their new found notoriety by mapping a tour of North America in support of their latest album. Swedish group jj will provide support. Any other double letter band is asked to contact the band’s management for the chance to join this alphabet soup tour.

The 19-city tour will start in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on March 23 and zigzag the country until they end up in Washington DC on April 24. The group is currently winding its way through Europe and Australia. Full xx tour dates are listed below. Tickets are currently onsale to the general public through Ticketmaster.

Their self-titled debut was released on XL Recordings on August 18, and hails the distinction of being the first album recorded in XL’s in-house studio. The album would go on to peak at number 1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Album Charts and number 19 on the Independent Album Charts.
