Wilco Revs Up Winter Tour Dates for 2010

While its fall tour may be in its last gasp, that’s not going to stop Wilco from doing a little spring planning. They’ve unraveled the map and are eyeing Canada and the Northern US for the latest leg of the journey. The tour will take off from Missoula on February 7 and head through March 3 in Halifax. They’ll even be taking part in the Vancouver Winter Olympics by playing a free show at David Lam Park on February 13. The new dates will follow a jaunt to Europe that starts after they conclude their US dates this month. No supporting acts have yet been confirmed.

Wilco continues to tour in support of their June release “Wilco (the Album),” which notched its way up to number 4 on the Billboard album charts. The album even includes a rare duet as the band is joined by Feist on “You and I.”

Ticket presales for the Wilco tour have been set for October 14 for Edmonton, Calgary, and Saskatoon. The public sale will be on October 16. Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax get their turn at the presale on October 21 as the regular onsale gets going October 23.
