Widespread Panic Takes the Jam on the Road This Fall

Legendary jam band Widespread Panic has just announced today the details of their forthcoming tour in support of their fall release, the much awaited “Live in the Classic City II” album.

John Bell and the rest of Panic will be performing songs from the live album on a tour that will span 30 performances in 21 cities over the course of one and a half months coming next season. The trek includes multiple engagements such as two-nighters in Alpharetta in September, and Milwaukee and Reno in mid-October.

The band is also slated to perform for three straight nights in Nashville from October 4 to 6, Oakland from October 15 to 17, and finally in New Orleans from October 29 to 31 which also marks the band’s last set of performances for the tour. The tour will begin on September 17 with a show in Morgantown, WV.

“Live in the Classic City II” is a compilation of all the songs the band performed during their three day hometown gig in Athens, GA on April 1 to 3, 2000 dubbed as “Live in the Classic City”. The album marks the first time that the live tracks will be released in the market as the band implemented a strict “no recording” rule for all three shows, which they don’t normally do when they perform in front of a live audience.

The live album will hit stores on September 28.
