Tony Bennett Breaks Out the Classics for 2011 Tour

In upcoming months Tony Bennett, the iconic crooner, will be making a steady and slow trek across the eastern U.S., performing a mix of theater and casino shows.

The 84 year old Bennett will resume his outing with two shows in Oklahoma.  On October 22 he will be in Norman and on October 23 in Thackerville.  The standards singer has eight concerts booked through the end of the year, including a stand of two nights in Lake Charles, LA on December 16-17.  An additional four gigs have been scheduled for next March and April.

Bennett, winner of 15 Grammy Awards, in July released a live, six track EP.  It is available as an exclusive on iTunes.  The six songs were culled from Bennett’s sold out performance from the iTunes 2010 Festival in London, including “Smile,” “For Once In My Life,” and “The Best Is Yet to Come.”  In addition the EP marks Bennett’s 60th year being a recording artist.

The latest studio set from Bennett, “A Swingin’ Christmas,” was released in time for 2008′s holiday season.  It contained 11 seasonal hits for the holidays.
