Toby Keith, American country music songwriter-singer, actor and record producer, was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on July 8, 1961. Keith released four studio albums with Mercury records “Toby Keith” (1993), “Blue Moon” (1996), “Dream Walkin'” (1997) along with his Greatest Hits package before leaving. All of these albums earned a gold certification or higher. His debut chart topping single “Should've Been a Cowboy” was most played country single during the 1990s.

In 1998, Toby Keith signed with Nashville DreamWorks. That year he released the hit song “How Do You Like Me Now??” and in 1999 the album with the same name. Keith's following three albums, 2001's “Pull My Chain,” 2002's “Unleashed” and 2003's “Shock'n Y'All” all produced three Number Ones apiece, and all three albums became multi-platinum certified. In 2004, Toby Keith released another Greatest Hits package and released “Honkytonk University.”

In 2005, Keith founded Show Dog Nashville, his own record label, after Dreamworks closed. On this label Keith has released five albums: “White Trash with Money” in 2006, “Big Dog Daddy” in 2007, “That Don't Make Me a Bad Guy” in 2008, “American Ride” in 2009 and “Bullets in the Gun” in 2010 along with “35 Biggest Hits,” a compilation set. Keith's label has also signed various other acts, including Mica Roberts, Mac McAnally, Trace Adkins, Flynnville Train, Carter's Chord and Trailer Choir. Toby Keith has appeared in the films Broken Bridges (2005) and Beer for My Horses (2008).
