Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Reunite Soul 2 Soul in Las Vegas

As if Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Rod Stewart, Elton John and Celine Dion weren’t enough blinding stars powering the Las Vegas Strip, today the wattage just got a little brighter. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be rekindling their Soul 2 Soul act this December at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. The shows will span ten weekends in all, wrapping up in April of 2013 and mark the first time the duo have shared the spotlight stateside since their record breaking 2006 tour. Sellouts for this residency are a given.

The Venetian is a relatively new addition to the Vegas Strip, opening its doors in 1999. Its marquee shows include “The Blue Man Group” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” The resort is the largest green residence in the world. The performances will take place in the 1800-seat Phantom Theatre which “Phantom of the Opera” will exit when it closes on September 2.

In a press conference this afternoon, Tim McGraw said, “We’re excited about building this show from the ground up.” McGraw said that the pair would be sharing the stage together for every song.

Country’s star couple first hit the stage together back in 2000 for the first iteration of the Soul2Soul tour. The follow-up Soul2Soul II still sits above the heap as one of the highest grossing North American tours in country music history.

Tickets go onsale tomorrow for fan club members as well as Clear Channel subscribers and Venetian Grazie members. General tickets hit the market on August 13.
