The Black Crowes, Widespread, Snoop Lion Stack Wakarusa Festival Lineup
This year’s incarnation of the festival will take place May 30-June 2 at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas. The festival has been announcing various pieces of the lineup throughout January, and released the full roster this week.
Additional artists performing at the festival this year include STS9, Galactic, GROUPLOVE, Of Monsters and Men, Dispatch, MUTEMATH, Wallpaper, Rebelution, Ozomatli, Gogol Bordello and Del the Funky Homosapien.
Four-day passes for the full event are on sales now and cost $154, and three-day and two-day passes will be available next month. The event features several camping options, including locations that cost less than the main venue camping and a “Sober Camping” site. VIP passes are also available, some of which include camping passes.
The Wakarusa Music Festival has been held every year since 2004. The event began as a festival held in Clinton State Park near Lawrence, Kansas, but moved after five years to its current home of Mulberry Mountain, which the festival’s website says is “where the beauty of nature synchronizes with the euphoric sounds of live music.”
“Each year since its relocation, Wakarusa has been graced by over a hundred world-class artists that continue to stir the musical interests of folks from all 50 states and beyond,” says the website.
In addition to the music, the Wakarusa also features a variety of additional activities including interactive art installations, live painters, and “dozens and dozens” of arts and crafts vendors. There is also hiking, fishing, canoeing and rafting available around the festival in the Ozark National Forrest. The festival even has a nine-hole disc golf course. Finally, a huge water slide and giant Ferris Wheel will be set up on the festival grounds.
