Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Rihanna, More Headline 2012 iHeartRadio Festival

The iHeartRadio Music Festival, which has been announced for later this year in Las Vegas, will host some of the biggest names in music – as well as one of the most eclectic lineups of any festival this year.

Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Rihanna, Green Day and Mary J. Blige are just a few of the performers that will take the stage at the two day festival. The event will be held at the MGM Grand in Sin City on September 21 and 22. Ryan Seacrest will serve as host on both nights.

“Last year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival had so many acts from so many different genres on one stage, a true rarity for a concert,” Seacrest told the Associated Press recently. “This year it’s set to be bigger and better, with an unbelievable roster of some of the most talented names in the music business.”

Other performers that appear on the bill include Aerosmith, Usher, Lil Wayne, Miranda Lambert, Shakira, Brad Paisley, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, No Doubt, Linkin Park, Jason Aldean and Pink.

“The cool thing about iHeartRadio is it’s multiple genres of radio stations on one platform,” said Tom Poleman, executive producer of the show, which is presented by Clear Channel, owner of the diverse iHeartRadio digital music service. “It’s cool when you can then translate that to a live event like the iHeartRadio Music Festival. It’s fun to look around the audience and see, they may not have been into Brad Paisley when they got here, but suddenly the Rihanna fan becomes a country fan.”

Additionally, the concert will be broadcast live on iHeartRadio.com, as well as other Clear Channel stations across the country. Video of select performances also will be made available on Yahoo.

Last year was the first year the event was held, and featured artists including Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Coldplay and Carrie Underwood.
