Social Distortion Book Club Dates in Support of New Album
Social Distortion, major players in the rock ‘n’ roll arena, have set their dates for their spring tour in the United States. They will be plugging their new album titled Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, which has been receiving rave reviews. Chuck Ragan and Sharks will also be touring with the band.
“Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes” could very well be their best album yet. In the wake of this success, Social Distortion began their tour of the West Coast a week ago, and enjoyed three sold-out audiences in Las Vegas. Even though musical tours are not doing well overall, the native Orange County band members are bucking that trend with nearly all of their concerts on this tour selling out.
The sold out shows indicate that fans are loving the band’s new album, and the critics are too. It has been more than six years since their last album, but even so, their new material has met with much adulation among music critics. USA Today wrote, “Mike Ness and his band of punks are as intense as ever. Amassing influences from Stones/Skynyrd gospel raunch (Diamond in the Rough), through Clash meets Springsteen broadsides (Writing On the Wall), Ness’ songs tackle his experience with hard unforgiving honesty. Ness has reaffirmed his relevance with a vengeance”.
Purchase the album as soon as you can and check out the band of the year when it comes to a town near you in the spring!
