Snoop Dogg Queues Concert Dates for ‘Wonderland’
In October, Snoop Dogg hits the road to stir up some interest for “Malice in Wonderland,” his upcoming studio album which is set to be released in December of this year. The tour will kick off in Baltimore, MD on October 27. So far there are 11 cities on the trek, including New York on October 29, Boston on November 1, and Chicago on November 4. The tour is scheduled to end in Dallas, TX on November 8.
The rap artist was earlier this week named as the Creative Chairman for Priority Records, the revived label for EMI, the parent company.
Snoop stated in a press release that is was a great feeling to start fresh with EMI. It is a new Priority Records, a new partnership, a new Snoop Dogg. The Boss Dogg, the Dogg Father, the Creative Chairman. We have developed a business model to bring all of the musical heritage of NWA and other groups to the forefront.
Priority, in addition to naming Snoop as Creative Chairman, will also release “Malice in Wonderland,” Snoop’s 10th studio album, on December 8. The album has production from Pete Rock, The Neptunes, Dr. Dre and others, with guest appearances from Pharrell, Mary J. Blige, Ghostface Killah, R. Kelly and others.
The album “Malice in Wonderland” is a follow up to 2008′s “Ego Trippin’,” which made its debut as No. 3 on Billboard’s 200 and sold 137,00 copes during the first week of the album’s release.
