Sheryl Crow Registers Voters for Album Tracks

This fall, Sheryl Crow will be giving away digital downloads from her latest album for free to her fans that get friends of theirs registered to vote.

In addition to offering free downloads from her “Detours” album, limited to 50000 fans, Crow is also partnering with the organization Rock the Vote for giving out unlimited “Gasoline” downloads to anyone signing up to be on Rock the Vote’s mailing list. More details can be found on the Rock the Vote’s website.

Crow said since its inception I’ve been a part of Rock the Vote. I’m proud of all the work they’ve done. Our country is facing some very critical issues, from climate change to high gas prices. We need to all do more. We need to not just register to vote, but also get all of our friends to register too.

Currently, Crow is out on the road in support of “Detours.” The tour continues in Valley Center CA on August 21.

“Detours,” the sixth studio album for Crow, was released in February and hit Billboard’s 200 album chart in the No. 2 spot. For the album Crow reunited with Bill Bottrell, producer, who headed “Tuesday Night Music Club,” her seven time platinum, Grammy winning debut from 1993.

Four singles so far have been spawned from “Detours.” They include “Love is Free” the adult/pop hit and “Out of Our Heads,” her latest single that is streaming from Crow’s website.
