Selena Gomez Cancels Holiday Shows After Mother’s Miscarriage : December 19, 2011
Selena Gomez is also founder and lead singer of Selena Gomez & the Scene, a pop band. They have released two albums, “Kiss & Tell” as well as “A Year Without Rain.” Both sets have been certified gold by the RIAA. She made guest appearances on “The Suite Life of Zack & Code” and “Hannah Montana.” She later had a recurring role in the second and third seasons of “Hannah Montana.” In 2007, Selena Gomez became part of the cast for”Wizards of Waverly Place” where she played Alex Russo, one of the show's main characters.

Gomez is best known for playing Alex Russo on “Wizards of Waverly Place, the Emmy Award winning television series on the Disney Channel.
