Sarah McLachlan Heads Out on Fall Tour with Friends

Fresh from the success and her highly raved performance at the recently concluded Lilith Tour, critically acclaimed and Grammy Award winning musician Sarah McLachlan goes back on the road this fall for another bout of what seems to be a repeat of the Lilith Tour fashioning a different name, the “Sarah and Friends” tour.

Just like the Lilith Tour, McLachlan will be enlisting the help of her fellow female artists in what promises to be an interactive and engaging night of soulful and artsy music that only “Sarah and Friends” can provide. Each show, which will have Dallas, TX as its starting point on November 1, will have two parts, the first with McLachlan providing guest vocals for her guest artists while the second with McLachlan primarily providing the music, mostly spanning from her new release, “Laws of Illusion” and some of her greatest singles as well.

McLachlan will also give her fans the chance to ask her just about anything during the show. The singer/songwriter will randomly pick a question submitted by fans throughout the performance. Fans can drop in their questions minutes before the show starts.

Meanwhile, critics rave McLachlan’s performance in last summer’s Lilith Tour, with the Los Angeles Times describing her as “levitating with radiant energy”, called “better” by the Hollywood Reporter, and “at her finest” by the Orange County Register.

“Laws of Illusion”, the singer’s newest studio effort, also garners rave reviews of its own with USA Today writing it as “buoyant and beautifully crafted” and “candid and thoughtful”, and The New York Times raving the songs as “direct”, “finely tuned”, and “lush and measured”, created by the combination of “unearthly” acoustics that “gleam“, and McLachlan’s voice that “enfolds its strength in breathy intimacy”.
