Most Sade fans have long given up on the bleak prospect of getting a new Sade album. Shoot Prince himself said the primary reason he recorded the Elixer disc (the third disc from his latest “LotusFlow3r” release) was because he’d grown tired that Sade would never release another album. Well the long awaited effort is barreling down the tracks for a February 9th release date.

The new effort entitled “Soldier of Love” follows her 2000 effort “Lover’s Rock” that went platinum several times over. “Rock” was similarly long awaited since her previous album “Love Deluxe” came out eight years before. “Soldier” was recorded in England with longtime collaborator Mike Pela and will be released on Epic Records.

Sade have won three Grammy Awards over the course of her career and had all five of her albums in the Billboard top 10 selling a combined total of 50 million.
