Panic! At the Disco Returns with New Album, Summer Tour

It’s been three years since Panic! At the Disco excited audiences with their manic beats and goosed up sound, but their fans need not wait any longer. Their third album “Vices & Virtues” is due on record store shelves next week (March 22). Produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Pink) and John Feldmann (Used, Neon Trees), this album is the band’s debut effort without guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker who departed the ship in 2009. Brandon Urie (singer/instrumentalist) and Spencer Smith (drummer) take the band into uncharted waters, bleeding the pop with the psychedelic that defined their previous two efforts.

To support the new effort, Panic! will be embarking on a 29-city tour that starts with a teaser show at Austin’s South by Southwest Festival on March 19, but gets going in earnest at Boston’s House of Blues on May 22. The band has recruited fun., Foxy Shazam and Funeral Party as opening support. Panic! will be playing mostly clubs and theatre shows on this tour.

If you can’t venture out to one of Panic! at the Disco’s concerts, be sure to check them out when they hit “Lopez Tonight” on April 4 or “Conan” on March 29.
