Owl City Revs Up for Summer Tour
This summer Owl City, the synthpop band, will be canvasing the U.S. in support of “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” the group’s upcoming album.
Led by songwriter-singer Adam Young, Owl City will be kicking off their run in Nashville with a show on June 13, followed by theater and club shows in twenty five major markets, running through July. Three Canadian dates are also part of the itinerary. According to Owl City’s website, they will also be announcing international dates soon.
On March 22, presale tickets will be going on sale, and on April 1 general onsales.
On May 17, “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” the third studio set from Owl City, will be hitting store shelves, one month prior to the start of their road trip. The album, which reportedly has B.o.B as a featured special guest, can be preordered by fans starting on March 22 from the band’s website.
“Maybe I’m Dreaming,” Owl City’s debut effort, was released in 2008. In 2009 they followed up with their chart topping “Ocean Eyes.” “Ocean Eyes” featured “Fireflies,” their smash hit single, as well as Matthew Thiessen from Reliant K as guest vocalist on the song “Tidal Wave.”
