Not Even a Torn Calf Muscle Can Stop Bon Jovi
At the end of Bon Jovi’s final song in their hometown of New Jersey, band front man Jon Bon Jovi suffered an injury involving his calf muscle, “My calf muscle just blew out! Whoa!” was the singer’s words on Friday night, July 9, as reported by USA Today. Accompanied by his band mates, the singer exited the show gracefully but limping.
It was the band’s last show for the year at the New Meadowlands Stadium up at the Garden State after performing for three nights in May to celebrate the inauguration of the venue. They will be performing in three Canadian cities next starting tomorrow, July 14, as per their tour schedule.
Yes, Bon Jovi’s tour will push through with no postponements whatsoever, still with a limping Jon Bon Jovi taking the vocals, according to the band’s spokesperson. The tour supports the band’s most recent studio effort, “The Circle”, which surfaced fall of last year and immediately landed at the top of the Billboard 200.
The band will also be touring overseas in the fall starting with a show in Brazil in October, a two-nighter in Japan on November 30 and December 1, and the rest of December spent in New Zealand and Australia.
