Nickelback to Ride the “Dark Horse” Off to Early Next Year
With the recent release of “Dark Horse”, Nickelback is on its way to promote their chart topping album all across the US with a few stops in Canada in partnership with Live Nation, spring next year.
They will be saddling off to Nashville, TN to kick off the tour on February 25. Then they will be coasting through the east of US with a few stops in Canada in early March and April. Fellow rockers Saving Abel and Seether will be joining the tour as support act for Nickelback.
Tickets will be available to the public on December 5 and the band’s fan club will be pre-selling tickets beginning on November 28, Friday. Citi cardholders can avail of early bird tickets on December 1.
“Dark Horse” hit the no.2 spot in the Billboard 200 upon its release last week. It is Nickelback’s sixth studio effort, following the successful “All the Right Reasons” album which produced hits like “Photograph”, “Far Away” and “Rockstar”.
This new release is expected to perform just as well or even better than “All the Right Reasons” did, especially now that they have solicited the services of music genius Mutt Lange, to produce the album. Lange has also worked with Def Leppard and AC/ DC.
“Gotta Be Somebody”, the album’s carrier single, is being widely received in various music genres and is constantly garnering generous airplay on radio and music channels. Listen to the track via the band’s MySpace page.
