New Kings of Leon Album Hits in October
With a summer tour currently in their hands and another tour lineup to get underway this fall, rock outfit Kings of Leon still found time to record and release their fifth studio effort “Come Around Sundown” which is slated to hit stores on October 19.
Band vocalist Caleb Followill described what to expect from the new record and what makes it different from the band’s 2008 set “Only by the Night”. Through a conference call interview with the press two months ago, Followill mentioned about utilizing unconventional rock instruments like trumpets, a lap steel guitar and a fiddle for the new record. According to the front man, the aim was to “make these songs live up to what it is that we want them to be, so there are a lot of elements that you may have never heard on Kings of Leon.”
At present, the band is in the homestretch of their summer tour with only six more outings to go. The band would continue the trail tomorrow, August 5, with a show in Camden, NJ and would wrap up on August 22 in Shropshire, UK as part of the V Festival.
In September, Kings of Leon will return on the road for a 15-city US trail starting with a show in Noblesville, IN on September 3 and would cap off on the 23rd in Dallas, TX.
