Moe., the jam band, has added an additional leg onto their U.S. tour.  The trek will not hit both coasts and stretch through to early February.

Next week, the band from New York will be hitting the road to play a Halloween performance in Albany, NY on October 30.  According to the website for the band, the special themed show, entitled “The Electric Lemoe.nade Acid Test,” is featuring costumes, lighting, decorations and a set list which is a bit more unusual.

In November, their road trip will continue with a few East Coast gigs.  The band will be in Boston for two nights (December 30-31) for a New Year’s Eve celebration.  On January 5-9, they will have a run of five days at a Dominican Republic beach side resort before they return to the club circuit in the States.  The band will visit nine West coast city venues before they wrap up with two nights in Denver, CO on February 4-5.

Presale tickets for a majority of the new shows will be going on sale on October 24 from the band’s website.

The band earlier this year released “Smash Hits Vol. 1,” featuring several greatest hits of the band’s such as “Captain America,” “Spine of a Dog” and “Mexico.”

Rob Derhak, band bassist said in a statement on the band’s website, they are the songs that we and other people think are our biggest crowd pleasers from the last 20 years.  It is a compilation that people will be able to listen to time and time again.  It’s something even your mother could enjoy.

“Sticks and Stones,” the ninth studio effort from moe., was released in early 2008.  It peaked at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
