The country music artist Miranda Lambert was born in Tyler, Texas on November 10, 1983. She first gained fame when she was a Nashville Star finalist during the show's 2003 season. She placed third and then was signed later by Epic Records. Lambert's debut came in 2005 when she released the single “Me and Charlie Talking” and then “Kerosene,” her debut album. The set became U.S. platinum certified and also spawned the singles “New Strings,” “Kerosense” and “Bring Me Down.” All four of the singles became Top 40 hits on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

After Epic closed, their Nashville division, Miranda Lambert moved to Columbia Records Nashville where she produced “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” her second album. The set was released in 2007. Three singles off the album, “More Like Her,” “Gunpowder & Lead,” and “Famous in a Small Town,” all became Top 20 hits. In July 2008, “Gunpowder & Lead” became Lambert's first country hit to make the Top 10. In September 2009 Lambert released “Revolution,” her third album. The album has spawned five singles, including “The House That Built Me,” a Number One hit which topped the chart for four weeks. Miranda Lambert has received several awards from the Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Grammy Awards.
