The American pop recording artist and television and film actress Miranda Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993 in Los Angeles, California. She stars in the title role in “iCarly” and also appeared in the show “Drake & Josh” playing Megan Parker. Her career started when she was three years old when she began to appear in television commercials. In 2003 Cosgrove made her film debut in the movie “School of Rock” where she played Summer Hathaway. Cosgrove also appeared in the films 2005's “Yours, Mine and Ours,” 2006's “Keeping Up with the Steins” and 2010's “Despicable Me.”

After having small television appearances for years on shows such as “Smallville,” “Grounded for Life” and “What's New Scooby-Doo,” Cosgrove got a role with the hit television series “Drake & Josh” followed by “iCarly.” Cosgrove earned $180,000 for each “iCarly” episode in 2010, which made her television's second highest paid children's star.

In June 2008, Cosgrove released an “iCarly” soundtrack album. She performed four songs, including “Headphones On,” “About You Now,” “Stay My Baby” and “Leave It All to Me.” In April 2010 she released “Sparks Fly,” her debut album.
