Margaret Cho Delivers the Laughs on Fall Tour
Racy comedian Margaret Cho, on her new tour and album both entitled “Cho Dependent,” balances music with comedy.
The “Cho Dependent Tour” will kick off in Portland, OR at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on August 26 and wrap up in Atlanta, GA at the Tabernacle on December 12. The album featuring collaborations with various musicians including Ani DiFranco and Patty Griffin, will be released on August 24.
The 33-date outing for Cho includes performances in Austin, TX at Paramount Theatre on September 12; Chicago, IL at Chicago Theatre on October 16; Boston, MA at Wilbur Theatre on October 28; and Los Angeles, CA at The Wiltern on December 3. Additional dates are expected to be added.
Cho’s Canadian fans also will have plenty of opportunities to see her live show. Six shows have been scheduled for the Canadian provinces, including Vancouver, BC at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on August 28; Edmonton, AB at the Winspear Centre on October 2; and in Toronto, ON at Massey Hall on October 22.
Presales for Cho’s fan club for the tour start on June 9. On June 11 public onsales will begin. Exact face values for tickets vary depending on the market. The Ticketmaster.com current listings show a range starting at $25 and going up to $65.
Cho, in addition to the tour dates, has booked a special engagement in New York, NY for November 5. The event’s venue hasn’t been announced yet. Presales for that event will be handled separately according to the official website of Cho’s.
Cho’s new tour won’t launch officially until the end of the summer. However the comedienne has a few dates scheduled for early summer. She will be in Manchester, TN at the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 10-11, and in Biloxi, MS at the Hard Rock Live event on June 26. Biloxi show tickets went on sale during the middle of February, with ticket prices at $49.99-$59.99.
