On May 16, Lil Wayne is scheduled to release “Tha Carter IV,” his new album, in the United States.

All of the album’s songs, except four, have been recorded reportedly since the rapper was released from prison recently.

Lil Wayne was incarcerated at Rikers Island Jail in New York for eight months for a gun crime. On November 4, 2010, he was released.
Wayne told MTV News that the album was done. I’m so done, it could come out tomorrow, Lil Wayne said before he confirmed the release date.

“Tha Carter IV” is the fourth set in a series of albums called “Tha Carter.” Special guests on the album include T-Pain, Kayne West and Nicki Minaj.
