Lil Wayne Books First European Tour with Mac Miller, 2 Chainz
Lil Wayne is heading to Europe to tour for the first time ever on a 15-date trek that will take him through 10 counties, and he’s bringing 2 Chainz an Mac Miller along with him.
The tour will begin March 8, 2013 at the Dublin O2 Arena in Dublin, and will continue through a March 27 performance at the Amsterdam Ziggo in the Netherlands. The crew also will visit France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.
The shows will celebrate Lil Wayne’s 10th studio album, I Am Not a Human Being 2, which is expected to be released early next year. The album’s first single, “No Worries,” was released in September and currently is number nine on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop songs chart and number 39 on the overall Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
In other Lil Wayne news, last week he appeared at the “Cali Christmas Show” presented by radio station Power 106, and reports have surfaced that the rapper was involved in a brawl backstage at the Gibson Amphitheater where the event took place.
“Punches were thrown but no arrests were made,” an eyewitness told HollywoodScoop.com. “It was a serious fight and was witnessed by everyone who was backstage.”
In addition to Wayne, the concert also featured performances by Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Ca$h Out and Wayne’s future touring partner 2 Chainz, among others.
I Am Not a Human Being 2 will be the first solo studio album from Lil Wayne since he released Tha Carter IV in 2011. That album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums charts, and was also number one in Canada, though it failed to reach the top spot in any European countries.
I Am Not a Human Being was released in 2010, and also debuted at number one in the U.S.
