Lenny Kravitz Celebrates ‘Love’ with 20th Anniversary Tour

Lenny Kravitz continues the 20th anniversary celebration of “Let Love Rule,” his debut album from 1989, with a fall US club tour.

The tour kicks off in New York City for four shows starting on October 11, and hits Washington D.C., New Orleans and Atlanta, among other cities.

Kravitz will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his 1989 deubt album on the tour. In honor of the anniversary for “Let Love Rule,” Virgin/EMI released in May an expanded two disc reissue. The updated set includes a remaster of the original album along with 18 bonus tracks, 13 of which are live recordings, B sides and unreleased demos.

For the last two years Kravitz has been out on the road supporting “It Is Time for a Love Revolution,” his latest release from the studio. Last February it entered at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 which was the highest debut ever for him. The multi instrumentalist, played, wrote, arranged and produced all of the 14 tracks on the album, just as he had done previously on his other albums.

The new album from Kravitz is his eighth studio album and his first since the gold-certified “Baptism” in 2004. It has produced the singles, “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” “Love Love Love” and “I’ll Be Waiting.”

During the last two years Kravitz has had to cancel or postpone shows due to a serious respiratory-tract infection that turned eventually into bronchitis. This inlcudes last year’s dates in Canada and South America and a few dates this summer in Italy.
