The country music group Lady Antebellum was formed in 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee. Members of the group are Charles Kelley (background and lead vocals), Dave Haywood (mandolin, piano, guitar and background vocals) and Hillary Scott (background and lead vocals). Lady Antebellum made their debut in 2007 when they appeared as guests vocalists in the single “Never Alone” by Jim Brickman. They signed with Capitol Records in Nashville and released “Love Don't Live Here.” This single peaked in the No. 2 spot on the chart Hot Country Songs in May 2007. It was the group's first single off their self-titled debut album. The album was U.S. certified platinum and includes the singles “I Run to You” and “Lookin' for a Good Time.” In July 2009, “I Run to You” became the first Number One single for the group.

In mid-2009, Lady Antebellum released “Need You Now,” which became the title track of their second album by the same name that was released January 2010. The song became the group's fourth top 10 single and third No. 1 single. In May 2010 “Our Kind of Love” was released. It became the group's fourth Number One single in a row on the chart Hot Country Songs.

The Country Music Association named Lady Antebellum as New Artist of the Year for 2008 and the Academy of Country Music recognized the group as Top New Duo or Group for 2009. They received two Grammy Award nominations in 2009 and 2010 and won the Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals Grammy Award for their song “I Run to You.” At the 45th annual ACM Awards, Lady Antebellum won Single of the Year and Song of the Year for “Need You Now” as well as Top Vocal Group.
