Korn Teams Up with Rob Zombie for Night of the Living Dreads Tour
Korn and Rob Zombie have just announced that they’re teaming up for a month-long joint tour this winter and the name of it is truly inspired. It’s almost more exciting than the news itself and runs a real risk of overshadowing the whole tour. It’s called…
The “Night of the Living Dreads” Tour. We kid you not. Whoever came up with that must have been absolutely basking in their collective smugness for the better part of the day when that popped into their head. For once, I’m not even being sarcastic.
Tthe tour itself kicks off in Reno, Nevada on November 3rd, taking in 17 cities, before finishing up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on November 26th.
Inevitably, the announcement came along with a mutual love fest from each artist with Zombie cuddling up to Korn saying:
“Some of the best times we’ve had on the road have been touring with Korn, so we’re thrilled to be doing it again!”
And Korn frontman Jonathan Davis saying this about Rob Zombie:
“We’ve had a lot of fun touring and playing with Rob Zombie over the years. It’s been a while and those shows were so much fun. We’re really excited about doing it again.”
Zombie’s a veritable master of joint tours, having toured with Marilyn Manson last year, and co-headlined tours with Korn in the past. Like the metal workaholic that he is, this joint tour kicks off literally the day after his inaugural Great American Nightmare Festival finishes up on November 2nd.
Meanwhile, Korn are revving up to launch their new album, The Paradigm Shift, their first with original guitarist Brian “Head” Welch since 2003′s Take a Look in the Mirror. The Paradigm Shift is due for release on the 30th of this month.
