Korn Schedules Fall Club Tour
Korn is releasing their 10th studio album ‘The Path of Totality’ December 6. In order to gear up for the release, the band has scheduled 14 tour dates to officially release the work out into the wild. The tour will kick off this weekend at Mobile’s Bayfest that features a diverse bill like Toby Keith, Jill Scott and Duran Duran. Korn leans heavily on the east coast hitting clubs in Boston (November 3), New York (November 4), and Miami (November 9) as well as four Texas dates — El Paso, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. Its pretty rare to see a band the size of Korn playing club venues though some larger bands will sometimes roll out a limited club tour to really try out their new material live before scheduling larger arena scale dates.
Korn’s upcoming album represents their first release since last year’s ‘Korn III: Remember Who You Are.’ They have already released the first single off ‘The Path to Totality’ called “Get Up!” and have plans to unveil “Narcissistic Cannibal” next week. In a press release frontman Jonathan Davis said, “The title ‘The Path of Totality’ refers to the fact that in order to see the sun in a full solar eclipse, you must be in the exact right place in the exact right time. That’s how this album came together. I think all the producers feel the same way. I’m not sure it could ever happen again.”
