Katy Perry is Feeling ‘Bad’

Katy Perry is set to land five No. 1 hit singles on the Billboard 100 chart from one album. She will be the first musician to accomplish that feat since 1987 when Michael Jackson had a string of smash hits off his set “Bad.” Perry’s new hit single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” already has hit this mark on the Billboard pop songs chart. It will certainly be doing the same later this week on Billboard’s Hot 100 single chart.

The earlier number one hit singles for Perry off of “Teenage Dream,” her latest album, are “E.T.,” “Firework,” “Teenage Dream” and “California Gurls.” It could be that “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’ might be the last single off the record. However it is also like Perry could end up having enough momentum for pushing to get a sixth hit. “Peacock,” an up-tempo track, could be a good choice. The song has charted abroad already and made it to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart Hot Dance Club Songs. Another possibility is the closing number off the set “Not Like the Movies.” Perry performed the song at the Grammy Awards 2011 show.
