jeff foxworthy Biography
Jeff Foxworthy, the American comedian, author and television/radio personality, was born on September 6, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Blue Collar Comedy Tour member, along wih Ron White, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. He has had a total of six comedy albums released with major labels. "You Might Be a Red Neck If," released in 1993, and "Games Rednecks Play, released in 1995, were both certifed by the R.I.A.A. as 3x platinum. Foxworthy is also the author of several books, including his autobiography "No Shirt, No Shoes... No Problem."
In 1990 Foxworthy was named Best Stand-Up Comic by the American Comedy Awards. His first album "You Might Be a Redneck If" was released in 1993 and sold over three million copies. "Games Rednecks Play" and "Totally Committed" were both nominated for the Best Spoken Comedy Album Grammy award. Foxworthy, during the early 2000s, toured with Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Calbe Guy with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour to record crowds for three years.
Foxworthy starred in The Jeff Foxworthy Show, a television sitcom, that ran from 1995 to 1997. He also made appearances with Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall in Blue Collar TV and other Blue Collar tv specials. Foxworthy, since 2007 has been a quiz show host on the show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader. From 1999 to 2009 he hosted The Foxworthy Countdown, a radio show that was nationally syndicated. Foxworthy is slated to be the producer and host of the upcoming GSN game show, The American Bible Challenge.
