James Taylor Joins Forces with Carole King for World Tour

The original 70′s troubadours James Taylor and Carole King are reuniting for a world tour beginning in the spring of 2010. Taylor and King originally joined forces in 2007 performing a six-night stand for the 50th anniversary of the Troubadour in West Hollywood.

The initial batch of dates have the duo starting in Melbourne, Austrailia March 27 and dotting their way around the Pacific before returning home to play the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 14. James Taylor tour organizers say that additional dates will be forthcoming in the ensuing days and weeks.

James Taylor’s most recent album “Covers” debuted last fall, entering the Billboard album charts at 4. The album takes a unique look at tracks from some of Taylor’s favorite artists including Leonard Cohen, George Jones and the Dixie Chicks. Carole King last original work was “Love Makes the World” in 2001.
