Is Fox’s ‘Glee’ Readying a Major Tour in 2010?
First it was ‘American Idol‘ that leveraged its television following into a boffo concert tour extravaganza. Then ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘ burned up the dance floors of arenas throughout the US. Now it seems ‘Glee’ wants to cash in on the action.
Entertainment Weekly has discovered that Fox is rubbing its grubby hands together at the thought of putting the cast of ‘Glee’ out on the road. Fans of the show can’t seem to gobble up enough of the tracks on iTunes and the ‘Glee’ soundtrack drops into stores on November 3. Its not a stretch to think this show might be road worthy.
This wouldn’t be the first time the Glee kids have been released from the Hollywood stable. They did their best Tiffany impression during their mall tour bopping across the nation last August, and they are all set to do the national anthem proud when they take the field during game 3 of the World Series on October 31.
