Imagine Dragons Get Radioactive on Upcoming Arena Tour
Imagine Dragons are set to capitalize on the success of mega-anthem “Radioactive” and recent platinum-certified debut album Night Visions with a string of arena dates next year.
The “Into The Night” tour is set to cover 21 dates, kicking off on February 8th at Boise, Idaho’s Taco Bell Arena. It will see the band make stops in several major markets, including, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Nashville and Chicago, before wrapping up on March 15th in Denver.
Support is set to come from The Naked and Famous who, despite popular conception, only satisfy one half of their name’s conditions. [Insert your own joke about which one here.]
Nico Vega and X Ambassadors are also set to play special guest duty for select dates across the tour.
The Las Vegas band are currently due to release a remix bundle of current single “Demons” on October 22nd, which will include remixes, a music video, and a live acoustic performance of the track.
“It’s been just over a year since we released our debut album, Night Visions, and the show of support for the music on and off the road has been unbelievable and humbling,” says lead singer Dan Reynolds in a press release. “This is our last North American tour before returning to the studio, so we plan to make it a very special experience for those who come out to share it with us.”
Night Visions is said to have shifted around 1.4 Million units since it was released on September 4th of last year and has since spawned mega-hits “It’s Time” and “Radioactive”, the latter of which is the third most-downloaded song in the US of 2013, with sales over 5 million, as of September 2013. It also holds the record for slowest ascension to the Top 5 in chart history, which, I imagine, the band have mixed feelings about.
