Hank Williams Jr Kicks Off Fall Leg of Rowdy Friends Tour

Fresh from the success of “The Rowdy Friends” tour last spring, legendary country act Hank Williams Jr. will be hitting the road once again this fall for another round of the said tour.

Eight other country acts are scheduled to alternately appear alongside Williams for the tour. For the September leg, expect Eric Church, Sunny Sweeney, Gretchen Wilson and Lee Brice to perform as special guests while Jamey Johnson, Colt Ford, Josh Thompson and The Grascals will all be present when the tour hits its eight scheduled stops for October (The Grascals would not be appearing on October 9, 22 and 23, though).

The tour will cruise through the east coast and the Midwest for close to a month starting with a show in Evansville, IN on September 17. The tour also includes a couple of stops in Virginia; one in Roanoke as the tour’s second stop on September 18 and another in Fairfax on October 9.

Williams and friends are also bound to hit the south with shows in Georgia, New Orleans, Alabama and a couple of stops in Mississippi on October 15 and 16, in Southaven and Jackson, respectively. Other stops include Little Rock, Columbus, Reading and to wrap things up on October 23, Raleigh, NC.

The tour is aimed in furthering the reach of “127 Rose Avenue” which is Williams’ first studio set after six years. The release contains eleven cuts of all-new material which landed at no. 19 at the Billboard 200 and at no.7 at the Billboard Top Country Albums list upon its release in 2009.
