Grouplove Ready Documentary, Spring Tour

Grouplove has spent a decent portion of 2013 on the road in support of their latest studio effort, Spreading Rumours, and show no signs of slowing down, having announced a series of new tour dates for 2014.

The band’s latest headlining run is scheduled for lift off on March 20th at Bogart’s in Cincinnati and will travel through over a dozen cities, including Philadelphia, New York, Austin and Phoenix, before wrapping up on April 30th at the Power & Light District in Kansas City. Smallpools, MS MR and Alex Winston are due to fulfil support duties on select dates.

In the meantime, the band are ramping up to premiere a new documentary and concert film this month called “I’m With You,” not to be confused with the Red Hot Chili Peppers album by the same name. The movie will feature performance footage and interviews with Grouplove shot during their ‘SeeSaw’ Tour in New York City. The film will air at 8 p.m. EST on December 23th via The Warner Sound’s YouTube page, so is a nice Christmas surprise for any Grouplove fans out there. (The dirty joke exists only in your mind.)

The ring in the newly announced tour, the music video for “Shark Attack”, the follow-up single from Grouplove’s second album Spreading Rumours, has been released. Directed by award-winning director and frequent collaborator Cameron Duddy, the “Shark Attack” music video features Oscar-nominated actor John Hawkes (Winter’s Bone, HBO’s “Eastbound and Down” and “Deadwood”). “Shark Attack” will go to Alternative radio outlets in the new year and follows lead single “Ways To Go,” which peaked at no. 2 and is at Hot AC radio now. The companion music video for “Ways To Go” has reeled in over 3.5 million views to date. In short, everybody loves Grouplove. (Again, only in your mind.)
