The FOX sensation Glee has finally answered the call of its gleeky fan base and released a handful of dates for their upcoming summer tour. The tour is officially entitled ‘Glee Live! In Concert!’ and looks to hit the three major markets with two shows a piece (Chicago, New York & Los Angeles) as well as a single date in Phoenix. Full Glee tour dates are listed below.

The tour will include all your favorite New Directions members – Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Cofer (Kurt), Keven McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt).

Glee creator Ryan Murphy said of the upcoming tour, “The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person, and what show lends itself more to a concert than Glee? We can’t wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn’t be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities.”

The overwhelming sentiment amongst the Glee community after the announcement is why only four cities? If I may venture a guess, the cast can’t take a full out tour while they are on their short hiatus from the show, and these dates are likely a test bed to see how demand fleshes out. If the tour producers see quick sellouts on these seven dates, you can be assured we’ll see a second wave of dates. You can take that to the bank.
