Ghostface Killah, Questlove Highlight Atlanta’s A3C Festival
Atlanta’s now-nearly-but-not-quite week-long A3C festival is happening again this year (it’s its 9th year, by the way). A3C is being headlined by Ghostface Killah, Schoolboy Q and Questlove, among others.
This year’s A3C festival is set to feature more than 300 artists and DJs across dozens of centrally located venues in the Old 4th Ward, Little 5 Points and East Atlanta Village and takes place across five days, from October 2nd-6th, making this year its biggest event yet.
Other performers this year include A$AP Ferg, Rich Homie Quan, Too Short, Travis Porter, Chuck Inglish, Jay Rock and many more, including surprise guests and what-not too. Or, if you want to be genuinely surprised, then don’t expect any surprises.
In addition to performances of the musical variety, the 5-day Atlanta festival also hosts film screenings, art exhibits, pop-up shops, and educational panels.
A3C festival organizers are still accepting artist and filmmaker submissions for the October event.
A3C is a pretty big deal and on the official website is described in a fancy way as follows:
“A3C [All 3 Coasts] is one of the largest hip-hop festivals in the US and takes place annually in Atlanta, GA. Now in its 9th year, A3C has grown from a local hip-hop showcase to an international festival, and incomparable cultural experience, including: Music, Art, Film, Style, Education, Pro-Audio and More.”
A3C has also become famous for heralding and promoting new hip hop talent and this year looks to be no exception with much-anticipated under the radar performances coming from Nacho Picasso, Dyme-A-Duzin, Vinny Cha$e, King Louie, Esoteric, ANTHM, The Doppelgangaz, Roc Marciano, GrandeMarshall, Aaron Cohen, and Kyle Rapps.
