Fort Rock Festival Comes to Fort Myers with The Offspring, 3 Doors Down
The Offspring and 3 Doors Down will be among the acts bringing the rock to the first-ever Fort Rock, which is being billed as “southwest Florida’s biggest rock festival.
The one-day festival will take place Sunday, April 14 at JetBlue Park in Fort Meyers, Fla. The ballpark is the spring training home to the Boston Red Sox.
Other acts on the bill include Papa Roach, Stonesour, Volbeat, In This Moment, Escape the Fate, Device, Pop Evil, Otherwise and Mindset Evolution. Other artists will be announced before the festival.
The festival is presented by the team of Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Live, which also produces a number of other rock festivals in the southeast including Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on the Range.
“AEG and I have found another market with a strong rock culture and influential rock station – 99X – that is starving for a big rock festival,” said Wimmer in a statement. “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner or location. We’ve been thinking long and hard about creating a festival in this area and now we’re ready to pull the trigger”
General admission tickets go on-sale Saturday, February 23 and are $44.50, plus fees. VIP tickets will be available for $89 and include access to a VIP entrance and a VIP lounge with a dedicated bar and food service. Additionally, these tickets include premium viewing of the main stage. Finally, “Party 4 Packs” are available for $130.
3 Doors Down will use the festival to promote its Greatest Hits package that was released in November of last year. The album is the first ‘best of’ compilation for the group, and features the hits “Kryptonite,” “When I’m Gone,” and “Here Without You,” among others. The album also includes three new songs, “Goodbyes,” “There’s a Life” and “One Light.”
