The American country singer Faith Hill was born on September 21, 1967 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She is not only a country star in her own right but is also married to Tim McGraw, anther country superstar. Over the course of her career Hill has sold over 40 million worldwide records had eight No. 1 hit singles and had three No. 1 albums appear on U.S. country charts.

She has received awards from People's Choice Awards, American Music Awards, Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Grammy Awards. Her and McGraw's “Soul2Soul II Tour” in 2006 is the all-time highest-gross country tour. In 2008, she released “Joy to the World,” the singer's first Christmas album. Billboard in 2009 named Hill as No. 1 Adult Contemporary Artist for the 2000-2009 decade. Billboard named Hill 39th best artist for the decade 2000-2010.

In 1993, Hill released “Take Me as I Am,” her debut album., which sold 3 million copies. Her second set “It Matters to Me” was released in 1995. It sold over 3 million copies and spawned several top 10 singles. She married Tim McGraw in 1996 and took a break of three years from recording to start a family and rest after touring for four years. During that time she recorded “It's Your Love,” a duet with McGraw. Hill has also released “Faith” (1998), “Breathe (1999), “Cry” (2002), “Fireflies” (2005) and the 2000 Christmas album “Joy To The World.”
