The Spanish pop singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias was born on May 8 1975 in Madrid, Spain. He is the son of Julio Iglesias, another Spanish singer. Enrique started his career in music with Fonovisa, a Mexican record label, which helped him became one of the leading and popular artists in the U.S. Latino markets as well as Latin America. He crossed over to the English language mainstream market after signing with the label Universal Music Group for a multi-album deal, with Interscope for releasing English albums, and with Universal Music Latino for releasing Spanish albums. In 2010, Iglesias left Interscope to sign with Universal Republic, one of Universal Music Group's labels.

Iglesias has had a total of five singles within the top five of Billboard's Hot 100 chart, including two No. 1 singles. He has produced a record setting twenty two No. 1 Billboard Hot Latin Track Spanish language singles. He has sold a combined (English and Spanish) 55 million albums. Enrique Iglesias has also produced eight No. 1 songs on the Billboard Dance chart, the most of any solo male artist. In total, Iglesias has had 52 No. 1 hit on Billboard charts.

Enrique Iglesias has released a total of 9 studio albums, His Spanish language albums include 1995's Enrique Iglesias, 1997's Vivir, 1998's Cosas del Amor and 2002's Quizas. His English language albums include 1999's Enrique, 2001's Escape, 2003's 7 and 2007's Insomniac. In 2010 he released the bilingual album Euphoria. Igelesias has also worked as an actor, producer and songwriter.
