Elvis Costello Takes Stage with the Imposters for May Tour
Come hither, you Carnies. Draw your ears, game show enthusiasts. “The Revolver Tour” has just been announced by Elvis Costello and The Imposters.
Beginning this year in May, Costello, keyboardist Steve Nieve, drummer Pete Thomas and bassist Davey Faragher will kick off their trek in Reno, Nevada. The main attraction for the outing will be Costello’s Spectacular Spinning Songbook.
Audience members during each show will get invitations to join the band on stage to take a spin at the wheel. It includes forty song titles of new hits, old hits, rarities and unexpected covers. The last time Costello used his Songbook gimmick was twenty five years ago.
Stops for “The Revolver Tour” include Los Angeles at The Wiltern on May 11 as well as two nights at Beacon Theatre in New York City on May 22-23. To get your game show/carnival itch satisfied stop in. Elvis Costello will also be there.
