Ellie Goulding Brings English Flavor Stateside

British singer Ellie Goulding is heading to North America for a tour early next year.

The nearly month-long tour will kick off January 16 in Miami and is scheduled to continue through February 12 with a show at the Palladium in Los Angeles. In between these dates, she will also visit cities including Atlanta, New York, Boston, Montreal, Chicago, St. Louis and Seattle.

The new tour will support her sophomore album, Halcyon, which was released earlier this month.

“I’m so excited to start touring my new album Halcyon properly, Goulding said in a statement. “I’m incredibly proud of this record and the reaction has been overwhelming. Touring and playing shows is my favorite part of what I do, and I really can’t wait to get on the road.”

Goulding recently spoke to MTV News about the new album, and how it is different from her debut record, Lights.

“I’ve got more influences and different influences,” she said. “I think it’s a different sound. It is kind of a bit more tribal, a bit more anthemic.”

She also spoke about working on the record with her current boyfriend, fellow EDM star Skrillex.

“I feel like everyone’s really fascinated by my love life for some reason,” she said. “I think it’s because I write so explicitly about stuff. It’s just how I’ve always been, really, with lyrics and being really honest… I get girls writing to me saying that I’ve really helped them through stuff, and it makes me feel incredible. You know, serious, heavy stuff. And that, to me, I feel is one of my biggest achievements. So maybe that’s the source of why people are so interested in who I am, in fact, with, or dating, whatever.”

Halcyon debuted at number two on the U.K. album charts and number nine on the U.S. Charts.
